Christina Alifrangis, PT, DPT, CMTPT

Owner

Doctor Alifrangis (or Dr. "A" for short) received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Marymount University. As a D.C. area local, she is excited to be able to offer services to the community in which she grew up.

Dr. A is an avid hiker and a competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She is deeply passionate about helping clients reach their full potential. She knew early on in her physical therapy education that she wanted to work in orthopedics, and became especially interested in sports medicine as she progressed through the program.

Dr. A became interested in concussion rehabilitation after sustaining a concussion that led to 9 months of post-concussive syndrome. She was personally witness to the pitfalls of a lack of education and knowledge in concussion rehabilitation.

Now, Dr. A seeks to offer the level of service and knowledge that she was not able to find for herself. She believes that having someone who has gone through what her patients are going through and who can empathize with all aspects of care is of immeasurable value.

Since graduating she has continued her education in manual therapy, concussion management, and works hard to stay up to date on new treatment philosophies and developments in the field. She is currently working on more certifications to enhance her practice, and is a fully certified practitioner of dry needling.
